Pencil Rush 3D, a casual runner that features colored pencils instead of humanoid or animal avatars, challenges a player to pick up as many pencils as they can on an obstacle course from the moment the run begins until they reach a canvas at the end of the track. They use the pencils to paint a piece of artwork.

The task isn't an easy one. The track has no side barriers, which means that the player might accidentally direct the pencils off a side. When this happens, the level restarts from the beginning. The track also contains a lot of obstacles designed to knock away the player's starter and collected pencils, including office supplies (cups, drawing tools, pencil cases and sharpeners, pushpins and staplers), hobby items (cameras, falling books, flower vases and paint tubes) and miscellaneous objects found on desks (cacti and other potted plants, stuffed animals and toothbrushes).
When the player finishes a level, they earn coins and complete part of the artwork. They can also purchase various pencil skins for fun and boosters that make gathering the pencils on the track easier. After a few levels, they display their completed artwork with a decorative frame of their choice on a gallery wall.
How to play:
Direct the starter pencils through other pencils placed on the track to add them to the collection, which appears initially as a row of side-by-side vertical pencils that becomes wider with each new addition. Maneuver this collection successfully around obstacles.
Controls:
Mouse: To direct the pencils, press and hold the left button, and then drag the mouse left, center or right, as required. To paint the artwork and make selections, click where prompted onscreen.
Mobile: To direct the pencils, press the trackpad or touchscreen surface with a finger or stylus, and then slide in the desired direction. To paint the artwork and make selections, tap where prompted or indicated onscreen.
